Terms of Service

Effective date: 20 October 2026

App: Pockora (iOS bundle com.gj11.expensestracker, Android package com.gj11.expensestracker)

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the Pockora app and the pockora.com website. They are written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us at the address at the bottom before you rely on it.

TL;DR

1. Who we are

Pockora is published by Guy Jovani, trading as Pockora, in Israel ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@pockora.com. Our privacy policy at pockora.com/privacy explains what data the app handles and forms part of these terms.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using Pockora, or by opening an invite or group link on pockora.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pockora — 16 if you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. Pockora is not directed at children (see section 9 of the privacy policy).

If you use Pockora on behalf of a business or another organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it, and "you" includes it.

3. What Pockora is, and what it is not

Pockora is a personal expense-tracking app: pockets for your own spending, shared groups for splitting costs with other people, budgets, recurring entries, insights, receipt scanning and statement import.

Pockora is not:

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for any decision you make on the strength of what the app shows.

4. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Pockora on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal use, under these terms and the rules of the app store you got it from. The app is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep every right not expressly granted here.

Except where the law expressly allows it regardless of this clause, you may not:

5. Accounts

Most of Pockora works without an account. An account is required for shared groups, receipt scanning and statement import. You can sign in with an email address and password, with Apple, or with Google. On first launch the app creates an anonymous identity so it can fetch exchange rates; if you later sign up, that identity becomes your account.

When you have an account:

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or without the app by email — the steps are on pockora.com/delete-account. Section 10 of the privacy policy explains what is deleted and what is deliberately kept.

6. Shared groups and other people

Shared groups are optional. When you create or join one, what goes into it is shared with every member through servers we operate on Google Firebase.

Other people's data. When you add a name, an email address or a person's share of an expense to a group, or send someone an invite, you confirm that you are allowed to share that information with the group's members and with us for the purpose of running the group. Do not add people who have not agreed to be tracked, and do not use invites to send unsolicited messages.

Group data stays with the group. Entries you add to a group are the basis of the other members' balances, so they remain in the group after you leave or delete your account. Your display name stays on them, marked "(deleted)", so the balances remain attributable to a person. If that is not acceptable to you, do not add entries to shared groups.

Leaving and deleting. You cannot leave a group while you owe or are owed money in it; settle up first. The group's owner can delete the group, and a deleted group is purged 30 days later. When the last member leaves, the group is deleted. Members can see each other's display names and email addresses and the group's full history, including the earlier values of edited entries.

Invites and links. Invite links and share links let whoever holds them see a preview of the group and ask to join. You are responsible for whom you send them to. Links expire, and we may revoke a link or refuse a join request. A group's owner chooses who can send invites, share the group's link and approve requests to join it: every member (the default) or only the owner. When the owner switches to "only me", the invites and links other members already sent stop working, and requests to join that are already waiting can be answered only by the owner.

Balances are what people entered. We compute balances from the entries members made. We do not verify that an expense happened, that a settlement was paid, or that a split is fair. Disputes between members are between the members.

7. Content you add

You keep every right in what you enter: entries, notes, names, receipts, statements, backups ("your content"). For content you put in a shared group, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and transmit it as needed to run the group for its members, for as long as the group keeps it (section 10 of the privacy policy). We claim no other right in your content, and we never use it for advertising or to train models.

You confirm that your content does not infringe anyone's rights and is not unlawful, abusive, deceptive or harmful. We may remove content, close a group or suspend an account if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, or if a court or an authority requires it. We do not monitor groups in the ordinary course.

8. AI document scanning and statement import

Receipt scanning and statement import are optional. They send the one file you pick through our backend to Google's Vertex AI, and only after you have agreed in the app. The privacy policy describes exactly what is sent and what is not.

9. Exchange rates and money maths

Rates come from third-party feeds and are indicative: they can be stale, rounded, or missing for a date. The app marks a converted figure with "≈" when it is an estimate, and a shared group freezes the rate on each entry when it is made, so its balances do not move with the market. Do not use Pockora's rates for trading, accounting or tax, and check your bank's actual rate for anything that matters. Totals are rounded for display; the underlying values are what you entered.

10. Free tier, rewarded ads and paid features

Pockora is free. Some allowances — an extra shared group, an extra member slot in a group, advanced insights for seven days — can be unlocked by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. Watching an ad is always optional, the ad is served by Google AdMob under its terms, and an unlock applies where the app says it does: to the device that earned it, or to that group. A device-side unlock is carried by your backup and can be lost with the device's data if you have none. There is nothing to buy in this release, so there is nothing to refund.

If paid features arrive, they will be sold through the App Store or Google Play under those stores' terms for billing, cancellation and refunds, and we will describe the price and what it includes before you buy. Free features may later be limited or moved behind a purchase. We will not take away data you already entered.

11. Early-access features

Some features are visible only to accounts we have invited to early access. They are unfinished: they may change, behave unexpectedly or be withdrawn without notice, and they are provided as they are. Everything else in these terms applies to them.

12. Backups, exports and your data

Your personal entries live on your device. We have no copy and cannot recover them if the device is lost, the app is uninstalled or a restore overwrites them. Back up regularly with the app's backup features, keep the file somewhere safe, and remember that it names the people you split with. A backup file you export is plain JSON anyone with the file can read unless you protect it with a passphrase; an iCloud backup is always encrypted with a key kept in your iCloud Keychain; a Google Drive backup (Android) is always encrypted with a key locked by a passkey, a recovery passphrase, or both. A protected file cannot be opened without its passphrase, an iCloud backup without that key, and a Google Drive backup without one of its passkeys or recovery passphrases — by anyone, us included — so keep the passphrase safe, keep iCloud Keychain on, and don't delete the Pockora passkey from your password manager. Restoring a backup overwrites what is in the app. Exports go wherever you send them.

13. Acceptable use

Do not:

We may investigate misuse, throttle or refuse requests, remove content, and suspend or terminate access, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.

14. Availability, changes and limits

We work to keep Pockora running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or fast, and we may change, limit or discontinue any feature, quota or allowance. The app relies on third-party services (Apple, Google, Sentry) whose outages we cannot control. We may set limits — on groups, members, scans, file sizes and the like — and show them in the app, and we may change them.

If we ever discontinue the app or the shared-groups service, we will give you reasonable notice where we can, and your local data will remain on your device.

15. Intellectual property and feedback

The app, its design, code, icons and text, and the name Pockora are ours or our licensors', protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

16. Third-party services and app stores

Pockora uses Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, App Check), Google Drive (the Android backup, in your own account), Google Vertex AI, Google AdMob, Sentry, exchange-rate feeds and the operating system's own services. Each runs under its provider's terms and privacy policy; we do not control them and are not responsible for them. The privacy policy names each one and says what it receives.

You also agree to the terms of the store you installed Pockora from: the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service.

Additional terms for the App Store (iOS)

If you got Pockora from the App Store, these apply too:

17. No warranties

To the extent the law allows, Pockora is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some laws do not allow those exclusions; where they apply, you have rights that this section does not take away.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or for wilful misconduct, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law and, where they apply, EU, UK and other local consumer laws.

19. Your responsibility to us

If your breach of these terms — in particular content you added, people you added without the right to, or unlawful use — leads to a claim against us by a third party, you will compensate us for the reasonable losses and costs that result, to the extent the law allows and after we have told you about the claim and let you take part in defending it.

20. Ending the relationship

You may stop using Pockora at any time by uninstalling it, and you may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the service (section 14). Sections that by their nature should survive (the licence for group content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

21. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the app, the law or our business changes. The date at the top moves when we do, and the current version is always at pockora.com/terms. For material changes we will tell you in the app, or by email where we have one, before they take effect; until an in-app notice exists, the updated date on this page is the notice. If you keep using Pockora after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not accept it, stop using the app and delete your account.

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except that if you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim at home or to protections that cannot be waived, you keep those rights. Before going to court, write to us at support@pockora.com; most problems are fixed faster that way.

23. General

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Pockora. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stands. If we do not enforce a term, we are not waiving it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor who takes on our obligations. These terms are written in English; a translation is for convenience only.

24. Contact

Questions about these terms go to support@pockora.com. For questions about your data, see the privacy policy.

Pockora is a personal-finance app. These terms try to say only what the app actually does, in words you can read without a lawyer. Do read them, and ask us if anything is unclear.
