Delete your Pockora account
Last updated: 21 October 2026
App: Pockora, by Guy Jovani (trading as Pockora) — Android package com.gj11.expensestracker, iOS bundle com.gj11.expensestracker
Pockora works without an account: everything you record for yourself stays on your phone. You have an account only if you signed in — with email and password, Google or Apple — to use shared groups, receipt scanning or statement import. This page explains how to delete it, and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it in the app
- Open Pockora and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete my account.
The deletion runs straight away. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm first.
Delete it without the app
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, email support@pockora.com with the subject "Delete my Pockora account".
- Write from the address you sign in with, or tell us which address that is.
- If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, your account's address ends in
@privaterelay.appleid.com— you can look it up in your Apple Account settings, under Sign in with Apple. - Before we delete anything, we write to the address your account uses (with Hide My Email, that relay address) with a code in our message, and we delete only once you answer from it with that code. A request from any other address alone is never enough.
- We delete the account within 30 days of your answer, and tell you when it is done.
- Deleting by email does not disconnect Pockora from your Apple ID; you can do that yourself in your Apple Account settings, under Sign in with Apple.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (email and password, Google or Apple).
- Your account record and everything stored with it: your email address, display name, language, device push tokens, notification preferences, your AI-scanning agreement, your scan counts, and any group entries only you could see.
- Your membership of every shared group — you can no longer see any of them — and your email address in every group, including groups you left before.
- Every group no one else is still in (people you added who never joined don't count), with everything in it.
- Pending invites addressed to you, join requests you sent, and the payment-app samples you sent from your account (Android).
- Your place on our early-access tester list, if you had one.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your part of shared groups that other people are still in. The expenses and settlements you added stay in the group, because the other members' balances are worked out from them. Your display name stays on them, marked "(deleted)", so those balances still name a person; your email address is removed. They last as long as the group does: a group is deleted when its last member leaves, and purged 30 days after its owner deletes it.
- The group's history of changes. Who added, edited or deleted what — including how an entry looked before you changed or deleted it — stays with the group too, under that same "(deleted)" name, for as long as the group lasts.
- Invites you sent to other people. They hold the other person's address, not yours, and are purged 30 days after they expire.
- Invites sent to an address your account never confirmed — for example your real address, if you use Apple's Hide My Email. We cannot tell they are yours; they are purged 30 days after they expire. A place on our tester list under such an address stays until you ask us to delete it.
- A payment-app sample you sent before signing in to an account you already had (Android). It is tied to the anonymous identity the app made on that phone, not to your account: it is deleted 90 days after you sent it, or sooner if you email us the app and the day you sent it.
- Our servers' logs. They can carry your account's id and your IP address, for troubleshooting, and are deleted after 30 days.
- Crash reports. Deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Emails you sent us, this request included. Kept to answer you, and deleted when you ask.
What happens on your phone
Deleting your account in the app also removes your shared groups from that phone; they live on with their other members. Nothing else on the phone changes: your own pockets and entries were only ever stored there, so they stay until you delete them or uninstall the app. A backup in your own iCloud or Google Drive stays there until you remove it — section 4 of the privacy policy shows how for Google Drive.
Never signed in?
Then there is no account to delete, and we hold nothing linked to you — except a payment-app sample you chose to send us (Android), which is deleted 90 days after you sent it, any email you sent us, our servers' logs of the app's requests, deleted after 30 days, and your place on our early-access tester list if we asked you to try features early. To have the sample (before its 90 days are up), your emails or your place on the tester list deleted, email support@pockora.com; for a sample, tell us the app and the day you sent it.
The full details are in the privacy policy.
